Would you travel to London for the Super Bowl?

Did you know the NFL plays a certain number of its games in London every year? Up until last year, the NFL played two scheduled games in London during every football season, but Roger Goodell, NFL Commissioner, promises to up that number to three for the coming seasons.

Goodell said the NFL hopes to expand over the next few years and branch out into London with a permanent franchise. He did say, however, the NFL has no plans to allow the Super Bowl to be played in London, at least not in the foreseeable future. Goodell said there will certainly not be a Super Bowl held in any city that doesn’t currently have a franchise.

If the NFL does have future franchise plans in London, it’s possible we could see a Super Bowl move overseas within the next decade. How would you feel about traveling to London for a Super Bowl game? Do you think it’s fair to ask American football fans to travel internationally for a game that has always been played on American turf? Are you a fan of the idea; hoping the international publicity and support for the NFL could be a great thing, dreaming of your own travel plans to see a game played in a future London stadium?
