Super Bowl 50 City Time

Everything is starting to fall in place for Super Bowl 50! As we get closer to the Super Bowl (fewer than 100 days!) everyone is starting to make their plans for what to do while they’re in San Francisco. That means it’s Super Bowl City time! Super Bowl City is a must-visit for the biggest NFL fans going to Super Bowl 50!

In case you’ve never heard of it, each city that hosts the Super Bowl gets their own unique Super Bowl City. It’s a free fan-zone or “fan village” area that includes food and drink vendors, and family friendly events. Exhibits will be on display for passersby, as well as art exhibits and displays to browse through. This will be where all the action is prior to kickoff on the 7th.

For the Super Bowl this year, San Francisco will close the eastern stretch of famed Market St. to be turned into Super Bowl City. This will be near the staging area for CBS TV coverage as well. Super Bowl city itself will be centered in Justin Herman Plaza. The theory behind this year’s city is to show off the best of what the Bay Area can offer including interactive games and activities. This is best fun (and free) way to celebrate the world’s biggest sporting event on it’s golden fiftieth anniversary!

This is the first time the Super Bowl has been held in San Francisco since 1985. Levi’s Stadium (home of the 49ers) will play host for the Big Game. Super Bowl 2016 tickets are still available from the roughly 75,000 seats the stadium can hold.

But there are other must-visit attractions for your Super Bowl 50 vacation. First, the NFL Experience is a great stop. It offers the opportunity to meet some of your favorite NFL players. Second, a Super Bowl trip to San Francisco warrants a visit to the Golden Gate Bridge. Because you can’t go to San Francisco and not see the bridge. Third, the best Super Bowl pregame tailgate party will be Bullseye Event Group’s Players Super Bowl Tailgate. This year, the celebrity chef cooking the food will be Guy Fieri, and there’s always a big-name host for the event along with past and present NFL players. It’s a great way to celebrate on Super Bowl Sunday!

Super Bowl City opens January 30th and will close February 7th of 2016. Even if you’re just in the city to enjoy the atmosphere, this is one great stop you have to make! If you hear of any other great Super Bowl 50 events, let us know!
