New York and New Jersey are not only hosting Super Bowl XLVIII, the entire area surrounding New York City and spilling over into New Jersey will be bustling with activity for the week prior to the big game.

The first event of the Super Bowl festivities will be Media Day and will take place at the Prudential Center of Newark, New Jersey, the Tuesday before the game.

Super Bowl Boulevard will start up the week before the game and will run from the 34th block to the 44th block of Broadway, right in the middle of downtown Manhattan. Events on the Boulevard will keep football fans entertained for days with football clinics, museum exhibits, concerts, player appearances and more.

The two football teams will be staying at different hotels in New Jersey, and they will also have their pre-game practices at the Atlantic Health Facility and the Timex Center. Prior to the game, and perhaps the largest single event leading up to the Super Bowl, will be the NFL Tailgate Party. The Tailgate Party will take place at the Grandstand of the Meadowlands Racetrack on Sunday, Feb. 2nd.

On top of all these events in the area, there will be nightly parties such as the NYC Leather & Laces Party and the Players Ultimate Tailgate. Live media coverage and chances to meet celebrities who will be in the area for the game will highlight the week!
