We’re thrilled to announce that popular sports television personality Lindsay Czarniak is serving as Master of Ceremonies at the 2014 Super Bowl Players Ultimate Tailgate Party!
Best known for co-anchoring ESPN’s SportsCenter at 6 p.m. with John Anderson, Lindsay will introduce all the active NFL players attending the party and give them the “Pick 6” treatment –a reference to the Pick 6 segment on her show, where she “picks” an NFL player’s brain for six “things” –they answer three NFL-related questions, thus revealing three things about themselves viewers might not know. It’s a fun way to get to know the players and has become a fan favorite.
“Everyone has a story, and there are times a player may share something – an interest, a hobby, something about their upbringing, etc. – that makes them relatable to the folks at home,” Lindsay says about Pick 6. “If we have the power to do that on SportsCenter, I say we should do it as often as possible.”
Lindsay will also MC the Players Ultimate Tailgate entertainment, introducing the Harlem Gospel for Teens Choir and Cirque USA.
“Lindsay has a great rapport with NFL players on ESPN, and we are thrilled she will be handling the microphone during the Super Bowl Players Ultimate Tailgate,” says Bullseye Event Group representative Kyle Kinnett.
Lindsay Czarniak joined ESPN in August 2011 and has been co-anchoring SportCenter with John Anderson since 2012. Born in Harrisburg, PA, she was raised in northern Virginia in a sports atmosphere, with her father working as a sports reporter and editor for USA Today. Lindsay played lacrosse and field hockey in high school, and graduated from James Madison University in 2000 with a major in journalism and a minor in studio art. Lindsay and her husband Craig Melvin are expecting their first child around St. Patrick’s Day this March.
