First we hear from the New Jersey Sports and Exhibition Authority that there will be no tailgating at MetLife Stadium on Super Bowl Sunday 2014. Period.

According to NFL officials, potential tailgaters will need a permit to occupy just one parking spot, leaving the buses, RVs and grills at home and settling for all the food and drink that can fit into coolers in the car. What’s more, these rules are standard NFL procedure for a Super Bowl, no matter where the game is played.
