And so it was during NFL football’s Week 9 at MetLife Stadium, as smooth jazz artist Chris Botti plays a rendition of the Star-Spangled Banner so full of feeling, it brings the entire crowd to an emotional edge and Colts wide receiver Reggie Wayne to his truth – about the game he loves, his place in NFL history and about gratitude.
Afterwards, Chris Botti -whose ties to the Colts Nation includes attending Indiana University- tells the Indy Channel, “While I was happy to be playing the anthem, it was great, but it was really the fact that it moved Reggie to that experience and also the whole situation with his career and on top of that, he had a great game. So it was a win-win-win.”
