Bullseye Event Group, a leading sports, travel and event management company, today announced that Vy Higginsen’s Gospel for Teens Choir will provide entertainment for the Super Bowl Players Ultimate Tailgate, on February 2nd, 2014 from 11:00 am- 4:00 pm at Gotham Hall (1356 Broadway, New York, NY 10018).
The Gospel for Teens choir, founded and directed by Vy Higginsen, is a branch of the non-profit center, MAMA Foundation for the Arts. This award winning choir was founded by Vy Higginsen in an effort to pass gospel music on from generation to generation. She hopes to teach gospel music to at-risk teens as more than just an effort to keep them off the streets, but also to keep the art form of gospel music alive in the age of hip-hop and rap music.
Gospel for Teens is directed by what Vy calls “music masters,” and for kids between ages 13 and 19, this choir is a safe place for them to get away from difficult living situations, everyday life problems and for many of them, the risks of living in rough neighborhoods. They come to the Gospel for Teens choir to learn about gospel music as an art form.
The choir has performed at locations and events all across the country, including the Congressional Black Caucus, the Stellar Awards, Reverend Al Sharpton’s National Action Network Convention, New York Fashion Week, Yankee Stadium and Lincoln Center.
The Gospel for Teens choir will perform at the Players Ultimate Tailgate Party before Super Bowl XLVIII in Feb. 2014. The party will also play host to a number of celebrities, world-renowned chef Marcus Samuelsson, and much, much more! The Super Bowl Players Ultimate Tailgate is a pre-game Super Bowl party that offers celebrity guests, live entertainment, a five star food menu prepared by international super chef Marcus Samuelsson, and open premium bar from 11am to 4pm Super Bowl Sunday.
